The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters, and What You Can Do To Get More of It is a book by the author Kelly McGonigal. Originally published in 2011, the book talks about willpower and everything associated with it. The author is a teacher at Stanford University and she introduced a new course in the study syllabus by the name “ The Science of Willpower”. This course became quite successful and the author’s book also contains insight from that course.

It is something controlled by your brain and you can control your willpower with the help of mindfulness and exercise. She says that people with more control over their willpower tend to be more successful and satisfied in their life. They also are more happy that people with little control on their willpower.
